Shiva Thapa settles for bronze in Doha

   
     NEW DELHI: Shiva Thapa’s run at the World Championship in Doha was on Sunday halted by Uzbekistan’s Murodjon Akhmadaliev. The Uzbek, who upset top seed K Yeraliyev of Kazakhstan in the second round, won 3-0 on points in a closely-fought 56kg semifinal as the Indian settled for a bronze.

Russian President Putin to meet Rouhani at SCO summit

  Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to meet with his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani at the forthcoming summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), a Kremlin spokesman said.
