Shiva Thapa settles for bronze in Doha

   
     NEW DELHI: Shiva Thapa’s run at the World Championship in Doha was on Sunday halted by Uzbekistan’s Murodjon Akhmadaliev. The Uzbek, who upset top seed K Yeraliyev of Kazakhstan in the second round, won 3-0 on points in a closely-fought 56kg semifinal as the Indian settled for a bronze.

Indian Women’s Wrestling Team Finishes 2nd in Senior International Tournament

    Astana: The Indian women’s wrestling team warmed-up for the upcoming World Championship in style, finishing second in the fifth Senior International Wrestling Tournament — Cup of the President of Republic of Kazakhstan.
