200 Syrian refugees enter South Korea by plane


    Seoul : At least 200 Syrian refugees have entered South Korea by plane, with some being investigated for continued stay and others on standby at the airport here, South Korea’s intelligence agency said on Wednesday.
Among the 200 Syrians, 135 have won a semi-refugee status allowing a temporary stay on humanitarian grounds. Syed Akbaruddin named India’s permanent representative to UN

Tata Steel Q2 net profit up by 22 percent


    Kolkata : Steel major Tata Steel on Thursday posted an increase of near 22 percent in its net profit at Rs.1,529 crore for the quarter ended September 30 this year although its turnover headed southwards by 18 percent.

Volvo Cars Reports Global Sales Hike in October


       Automaker Volvo Cars on Tuesday reported a global sales hike in October as dealers in the US had an especially strong month.
The company sold nearly 46,000 cars in all markets, a 12.6-percent increase on the same month in 2014, Volvo said in a press release.

      Islamabad : Pakistan’s interior ministry on Monday has imposed a ban on the media coverage of Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD), Falah-e-Insaniyat (FIF) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) under the National Action Plan (NAP), the media reported.
Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has issued the notification in this regard, ARY News reported.
