Left-arm spinner Preeti Bose’s spell of five for 43 and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur’s all-round performance (47, 69b, 4×4 & three for 22) enabled India Blue register an exciting 18-run win over India Red in the final of the BCCI senior women’s Challenger Trophy at the SDNR Wadayar Platinum Jubilee University grounds on Wednesday.
Asked to bat, India Blue, helped by useful contributions from Harmanpreet, Paramita Roy (31, 64b, 2×4) and opener Sarika Koli (26, 4×4), posted 180 in 49.5 overs.
